What We Do

Workshops at Spirit Camps will challenge you yet allow you to feel safe. You only embrace what you are comfortable with while knowing that your community will support you. You are encouraged to speak your truth while also acknowledging the reality of others.

Some people will express ‘radical honesty’ while others embrace ‘loving acceptance’. You will see your ‘mirror’ in many/all of the people. The parts you love, the parts you fear. You will observe powerful speakers and admire those who ‘hold their space’.

We have been presenting workshops for over thirty years. The audience is now the presenter. We have grown and matured as we travel through this blink in Earth’s history.

Whatever stage you are at in this journey, we welcome you. We invite you to present your truth in the way of a workshop. We invite you to practice your new ideas on us – it may lead to a successful career for you. We invite you to simply be there.

Each event has first aid, mental health, safe food handling and OH&S representatives. We have Public Liability Insurance. Confidentiality is important to us.

Food: Usually vegetarian but can be whatever you usually eat at home.

    Weekend Retreats

Our main camps are really beyond Glamping - we hire a large venue three or four times a year. They have modern kitchens, flushing toilets with hot showers / baths and beds! Bring your own bedding.

    These camps are structured.

Friday evening begins with a delicious meal followed by a sharing circle and workshop/activity.

Saturday is filled with workshops and evening entertainment / activity.

Sunday begins with workshops, then closes with a sharing circle to farewell the camp and welcome the next camp.

Food: Each camper brings one large, home-cooked vegetarian meal and some fruit and snacks. These meals provide the food for all the campers for the whole weekend. Breakfast and tea/coffee supplied.

Cost: $50 to $100 for the weekend.

Weekend retreats are not set up for the needs of children. Pets and intoxicants are not welcome.

      Tent Camping

These camps are for the die-hard campers - the special group of people who can roll out a swag and sleep on the ground - or in a camper for that little bit of extra Glamp.

Day visitors are welcome to join us then go home to the comfort of a warm bed.

These camps usually provide a simple kitchen (fridge, stove, power) and a camping toilet.

These camps include all the family.

      Pets and children are welcome.

Pets on leads at all times.

Cost: $5 to $20 per person per night.  Depending on the venue.

Food: Bring all your own food, drink and shelter. Some meals may be shared.

Kayaks are available at summer camps, and campfires at winter camps. Some people bring bicycles.
